Pastor Ron was born in Tallahasse and moved to Tampa when he was four years old. A product of Ballast Point Baptist Church, Ron is also a graduate of Robinson High School, Florida Bible College and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Pastor Ron is married to the former Melody Pye who is a graduate of Plant High School. Ron and Melody have three children, Jennifer (Lives in Dalton, Ga. and teaches at a Christian School), Dean (Army Soldier who lives in Fort Dix, New Jersey) and Amber ( lives at home).
Pastor Ron is passionate about reaching people for Christ and helping believers grow in grace and in the Knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. " After studying about Urban Missions in Seminary, it is exciting to be able to reach people from all around the world here at Port Tampa" my goal is for our church to be a lighthouse where individuals can be rescued from the perils of life.
